| | | INFORMATION FOR SOCIETY ORGANISERS | (Click here for printable version of this section - you will need to download 'Adobe Acrobat') | CLUBHOUSE: The Clubhouse opens at 7.30am. Kindly note that we cannot offer any strictly private rooms during the day (except for Dinner in the Dining Room) - all of the rooms may be used by our Members and other visitors, but in our experience this should not interfere with the running of your day.
MOBILE PHONES: Mobile phones cannot be used in the Clubhouse, on the Terrace or on the Course. They may only be used in the Car Park.
DRESS CODE: COURSE: Tailored shorts worn with knee-length socks are permitted. Either hard or soft spikes can be worn. Collarless and sleeveless shirts, T-shirts, denim jeans/jackets, tracksuits and training shoes are not permitted anywhere.
CLUBHOUSE: Lounge: Golf clothing is permitted at any time, except for golf shoes. Members' Bar & Shankland Room: Golf clothing and golf shoes are permitted at any time. Dining Room: At lunchtime, smart casual clothing may be worn (no shorts or golf shoes). In the evening, Jacket and Tie must be worn.
CATERING: 4-COURSE LUNCH: This is served in the Dining Room (non-private room, smart casual dress), and is usually a Carvery on a rolling basis - self-service selection of Starters, Main Course (usually Lamb, Beef & Pork), Desserts, and Cheeseboard (Coffee served downstairs). If numbers are insufficient to run a Carvery, a set meal will be served. 4-COURSE DINNER: This is served in the Dining Room (private room, minimum 35 people, set meal - waitress service except for Cheeseboard, which is self-service. Jacket & tie required). Please advise us of any special dietary requirements at least 48 hours in advance.
TEE OFF TIMES & FORMAT OF PLAY: All play is from the Yellow Tees. Please provide a starting sheet on arrival for the Starter (or before the day if possible). The tee off times and format shown on the Booking Form must be adhered to, as other bookings are taken based on these. Please note that competitions must be played as Stableford - Medal play is not allowed, nor do we allow 2 Ball Stableford.
TROLLEYS / RIDE-ON BUGGIES Trolleys/electric trolleys are available for hire from the Professional's Shop. We have two (one-seater, 3-wheeler) ride-on invalid buggies which can be hired from the Professional's Shop FOR MEDICAL REASONS ONLY.
NEAREST THE PIN/LONGEST DRIVE: We recommend Hole 8 (Red course) for Nearest the Pin, and Hole 15 (Blue course) for the Longest Drive. We can provide the pins for these competitions - ask the Starter for them on arrival. Please give them to your first golfers to take out, and ask your last golfers to bring them in.
BANNERS/SIGNAGE: Banners (maximum 2) can be displayed just outside the Clubhouse - they must be self-supporting. Limited signage is allowed in the Clubhouse.
SCORECARD ASSISTANCE: The Club cannot provide any scorecard assistance on the day, however we can usually arrange for one of our Lady Members to assist your party. The cost is £20 per hour (minimum charge £40). Please book well in advance of your day.
