Blue 3 (12th)

Two different teeing grounds left and right. From either one the drive is semi blind over heather to an undulating fairway. The drive must stay left of the stand of tall pines seen in the distance on the right if you are to have a clear shot to the green. Anything too far left will be in the trees and the heather. The second shot is to a green which slopes towards you at the front and sharply away and down a bank on its right side. The bunker some 30 yards short on the right is not usually in play but the one front left has to be avoided if the flag is that side of the green. The left side of the green is bounded by a steep bank which can throw the ball back onto the putting surface, which is much longer front to back than it looks from the fairway.
