TEL:  01932 858175      CONTACT: TIM LIDDINGTON

There has been a golf club maker and customiser/repairer at St George's Hill Golf Club ever since the Club was founded in 1912. The current workshop, located adjacent to the practice nets, has been established for over 40 years; first run by the late Barry Willett and now by Tim Liddington, who himself has more than 30 years experience of club making and repairs. This wealth of experience enables us to offer a complete service to both Members and Visitors.

Wherever possible, we offer a daily turnround on repair and customisation service at competitive prices.

Caddies

Caddies must be booked in advance.  Payment needs to be made in cash on the day (credit/cards not accepted).
Cancellation charges:  If you have booked caddies and subsequently cancel your tee reservation, or require fewer caddies, you need to notify me direct at least 24 hours in advance, otherwise the full fee is payable.  Kindly note that the Secretary's Office does not have access to the caddie bookings so alterations to your booking will not automatically be picked up - you do need to call me direct please.

Club Repairs/Customisation

Customisation:

I will look at your current clubs and analyse their suitability to your swing, shaft flex, club head lie, grip size etc. Then re-fit your current set with the correct shafts and club head specifications that are matched to your ability and swing.

Loft and Lie:

This alteration can aid in consistency of straighter shots and a better ball flight to suit your game

Re–Shafting:
An old shaft after time will lose its original flex and will be inconsistent, leading to poor shots, a wide range of steel and graphite shafts are available at competitive prices.

Re–Grips:

Having the correct grip is more important than most people would imagine, this is the area where the body makes its only contact with the club, so getting it right is very important.  Grips wear quickly and with the winter months approaching I would recommend checking your grips.

General Alterations:

Lengthening, shortening, re grooves, swing weight etc…..
