BLUE 5 (14th).
The Blue Nine’s signature par 3 calling for a very well hit shot from the elevated tee to the raised green set well below you. The pond and the pot bunker short of the green should not be in play but avoid going too far left of it as there is a deep greenside bunker and a steep slope down to the left of this. The front of the green has a little slope up to it which tends to stop anything pitching short from reaching the putting surface. The green has two sides with a large “hump” running away from you down the centre, making for a difficult putt if you land on the wrong half. Back right of the green is a hidden bunker if you go too long off the tee. A par 3 here is again well earned.
