BLUE 7 (16th).
Another difficult par 4 with a slight right to left dogleg. The drive needs to be drawn over a right to left sloping ridge in the fairway and avoid the three bunkers (and the trees) on the left edge of the fairway. The second shot has to be hit over a diagonal line of fairway bunkers some 30 yards short of the green, or laid up short of these if the drive is not long enough. The shot in also has to avoid a greenside bunker front left and anything long left will end up down a very deep pit. This is one of the most difficult and fastest greens on the course with a steep slope at its front running up to a gentler, but treacherous back to front sloping putting surface. The green is quite wide but also quite narrow front to back. It is not uncommon for players to putt off the green from behind the pin.
