A good introduction to the Green nine, a shortish dog-leg par 4 with deceptively little room to the out of bounds running down the left hand side. The drive should be faded around or over the bunker and heather some 160 yards straight ahead, but not too much as there is a line of trees on the right. The second shot is semi-blind over the hill to a long flat green set just below the level of the brow – only the top of a tall flag can be seen from the fairway. There is a hidden bunker on the left at the top of the hill. The green has a bunker left, a slope running away to the right and anything too long and left is “dead”.
