GREEN 2 (20th).
The Green Nine’s signature par 3 – and arguably the most difficult par 3 on the whole course. From an elevated tee you drive across a wide valley to the elevated green set, into the hillside only a little below the tee. You can see nearly all of the problems from the tee – long carry, trees, heather and a bunker on the hillside right; bunkers and a steep slope down on the left. Basically, you just have to hit the green or its flat front apron or you will be in real trouble. And don’t go long as there is another steep slope behind. Although the green appears to be flat there are many subtle borrows and slopes slightly from back right to front left.
If you complete your third par 3 here on the signature holes then you will have had a day to remember!
