RED 6.
Stroke index 1 – the strongest par 4 on this nine. A long straight drive is necessary to carry the heather and a hidden bunker which is about 180 yards ahead. The drive is slightly downhill to a flattish fairway. All apart from the very longest hitters will need plenty of club for their second shot which has to avoid a fairway bunker on the right, greenside bunkers left and right and carry a hidden swale that runs across the front of the green. The wide but narrow green slopes quite a bit from left to right and has many subtle borrows to be negotiated once aboard.
